A space for peace and relaxation. A complete remodel of an upstairs cottage space, taking back to the shell 2 bedrooms, a hallway and a tiny bathroom to create one large modern rustic bedroom with en-suite bathroom. 

 

Low ceilings were taken down to create a more spacious and open feeling, revealing the original A-frames which were sanded and stained. Old carpeting was replaced by beautiful oak flooring throughout the entire space. 

 

Light materials and furniture pieces layered throughout keep the bedroom feeling calm and tranquil. An aesthetic of neutrals, rustic mixed with modern and traditional elements work to balance out the room. The modern seating area and lighting fixtures are softened by plenty of layered textures and an upholstered king sized ottoman bed. Beautiful vintage accents such as a walnut dresser and classic art finish off the space.
